The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) National Council of EPA Locals #238 (AFGE Council 238) was formed to promote a unity of action in all matters affecting the mutual interests of the membership of the affiliated locals within the U.S. EPA. The Council is run by the membership and an Executive Board that oversees the day-to-day functioning of the Council in between Council meetings.
The Council was formed under the authority of Article XXI Councils of the AFGE National Constitution 2012. In accordance with Section 6, the Council has adopted a constitution and bylaws which have been approved by the National Executive Council.
