AT&T Mobility, CWA Reach Tentative National Agreement On Benefits
DALLAS, Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — AT&T* announced today that AT&T Mobility has reached a tentative agreement with the Communications Workers of America in benefits negotiations covering all CWA bargained-for Mobility employees nationwide – more than 40,000 employees.
The tentative agreement will be submitted to the CWA’s bargained-for Mobility membership for a ratification vote in coming days. It is focused on benefits, including health care. Wages, pension and work rules for bargained-for Mobility employees are negotiated under separate contracts.
Upon ratification, the proposed new four-year tentative agreement takes effect Jan. 1, 2013, though most health care changes begin on April 1, 2013. The agreement provides modest increases to employee costs over the four year term.
